When you plan your van trip in Japan, you may wonder where to take a shower. In Japan, there are more than 20,000 hot springs and 4,000 public baths – where you can take a shower and relax in a hot pool. In addition to these, you can also use public pools and gyms to take a shower. So there’s no need to worry about showers in Japan, you can find them everywhere!

Once you decide where to go and sleep, you can easily find shower places just using google map and searching for “hot springs” or “public baths”. We put public baths and good hot spring places on “google my map” so that you can check them easily.

This is one of the maps of the hot springs which are flowing from the source.

Hot springs is definitely one of my favorite things to do during traveling around Japan. If you wanna get nerdy, you will learn that there are many different types of hot springs, each unique in texture, temperature, color, smell, and benefits. Taking a bath in hot springs has long been treasured as one of the most accessible yet affective healing methods. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
